The 13th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of GWP Nepal/JVS was held on 28  February, 2013 at the Hotel Himalaya, Kupondole Lalitpur. On the same occasion, the JVS Lecture Series which has been a practice to organize on this occasion was also held.

On 17 January, 2013, GWP Nepal/JVS participated in the Policy  Consultative  Meeting for Nepal National Water Week (NNWW), 2013 organized by the NNWW Organizing Committee headed by Secretary of the Water and Energy Commission Secretariat (WECS), Mr. Bishwa Prakash Pandit.

A book entitled "International Watercourses Law and a Perspective on Nepal-India Cooperation" by Mr. Surya Nath Upadhyay, Secretary General, GWP Nepal/JVS was launched amidst more than 120 participants including water experts and journalists of Nepal on 15 January, 2013. Dr.

Tinau is one of the important rivers in Western Nepal. It originates at Palpa district and flows through the mountain, gorge and plains of Palpa and Rupandehi district of Nepal. It is a class-II, perennial and third order river. Its discharge depends upon the groundwater and surface runoff.
